Bette Davis was quoted as saying ‘old age is no place for sissies’. My mum is a member  of ‘Growing Old Disgracefully’ www.growingolddisgracefully.org.uk and I think I am going to join up! Just avoiding the fact that I am getting older is not going to make it go away …so help is at hand.  I was looking at their website today and was particularly cheered up by the whole list of great quotes about growing old. All by women (sorry fellas, you could be spurred on to start the mens’ wing called ‘G.O.D (of course he is a  man!)’ Even though the organisation G.O.D. is for  older women, I think we can all have a chuckle and a whymsical smile about the quotes below.

SONG OF THE DAY –I cannot believe it is day 81 of my post a day challenge and I still have not played any Fleetwood Mac. When I failed my A’levels ‘cos I was just having too much fun I went to India with my mum for 2 months. I took one cassette. It had Fleetwood Mac -Rumours on one side and do you know, for the life of me I cannot remember what was on the other side…and I had to listen to one side then the other, as rewinding and fast forward used up too much battery. So what ever was on the other side had to be listened to as much as Rumours, and I listened to it every day..all the way through….But it is Rumours that reminds me of that time. ‘Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow…yesterday’s gone…’ mmmm very apt. Nice link  with the growing old disgracefully Gitika…pat on the back!
