Photo of the Day -The River Thames

I was coming home from Greenwich last night and walked along the river a bit, just as the sun was going down. People were sitting on benches, enjoying the  the river and the lights of Canary Wharf in the middle of the shot.

SONG OF THE DAY  Happy Together -The Turtles

I love this song. It’s in one of my song books. The original is still the best! Kaylan and Volman who were The Turtles  did loads of other projects including singing backing vocals on several recordings by T.Rex , including Bang a Gong and vocals for Alice Cooper!

    Happy Together is coming with me to my Desert Island. I do believe the Turtles’ guitarist became one of The Mothers Of Invention.

    The remaining seven in no particular order, Waterloo Sunset -The Kinks, Summer of ’69 -Bryan Adams, One day Like This -Elbow, If There Is Something -Roxy Music, You’re a Heartbreaker -Elvis, For No-one -The Beatles, God Only Knows -Beach Boys. All pop songs, nothing serious but all personally meaningful as they should be. R
