Yup, I woke up singing this, so it does happen. I have already mentioned my deep love for the  voice of Michael McDonald who was a member of the Doobie Brothers after this song was about. I have sung this song  with guitar and thank goodness Mickey B. Goode was playing guitar too, as it is a rigorous strum to say the least. I  actually find the middle eight deeply unsatisfying, but the young man wearing the white feather boa certainly makes up for it, as does the bass player, the guitarists, the red jump suit and the  chorus harmonies. Lush.
