Gitika (it rhymes with Whittaker) is a professional singer, songwriter, composer, educator producer acapella arranger and choral director. Gitika’s music has been featured on BBC 6 in the UK alongside Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel.Gitika has released seven albums, with a feel and tone that has been described as moody, deep, playful and eclectic.
Choirs and harmony vocal layers take up a huge part of Gitika’s heart. She has 4 books of choral acapella arrangements published by OUP and Hal Leonard and is a board member of the incredible https://www.choircommunity.net.a resource for choirs, featuring audio and sheet music from over 30 choral arrangers that has 10000 choirs, and growing subscribing to choral arrangements and compositions that are sung globally.
Gitika is a consummate professional who can get music from ideation of completion on time and on budget: in 24 hours she turned around ‘virtual choir’ and multi layered for a Comedy Central Christmas trailer and others for Sky Cinema Germany. She has created multi layered vocal tracks for Warner Chappell and Peer Music Library and for many independent artists. She is fluent in Logic Pro and Sibelius, has trained in audio mixing Online at Berklee, and is currently training with ‘We Are The Unheard Academy’ in Abelton.
